Can someone tell me the Copyright status of the 1920 harold Lloyd film "Number Please?"

http://www.archive.org/details/Number_Please

I downloaded the video from here and uploaded it to youtube and it has just been removed via a request from Harold Lloyd Entertainment. I want to make a counter claim for reinstatement but I need to be sure its public doamin.

If it's dated before 1923, it's PD. Period. Since this print has no soundtrack, they haven't a leg to stand on. It's likely that they have their own version with a copyrighted sound track that they're trying to protect, and have a 'bot automatically shooting down true PD films. I've fought YouTube and won after a single round, so you shouldn't have too much trouble getting it back up.

Thank you. I have made a counter claim to youtube. Harold LLoyd Enterprises should be hearing from me soon.
